Thirty years ago, in 1996, a journey began in the heart of Rathangan, Co. Kildare, when pharmacist and founder Shane Ryan opened the very first Ryan’s Pharmacy.
What started as one local pharmacy has grown into a proud, independent group of five pharmacies, serving communities across Kildare and Offaly – in Rathangan, Edenderry, Derrinturn, Rhode and Daingean.
From those early days in Rathangan, Shane’s vision was always centred around providing professional healthcare with a friendly, personal service – getting to know customers, supporting families and becoming a trusted part of the communities Ryan’s Pharmacy serves.
Over three decades, the business has grown and evolved, but that original commitment to **care, community and personal service** has remained at the heart of Ryan’s Pharmacy.
Today, Ryan’s Pharmacy looks back with enormous pride on 30 years of hard work, dedication and growth. But this milestone is about much more than five pharmacies — it is about the **customers, patients, staff, families and communities** who have been part of the journey along the way.
From one pharmacy in Rathangan in 1996 to five community pharmacies today, it has been an incredible journey.
